O Day 25 trailer
I have an ODay 25 centerboard I'm looking for a good Launch ramp on the St Johns river to launch the boat any suggestions?
Thanks Dave

Try Palatka City Park: 40 miles more or less upriver from Jax, lazy river current at ramp, nice courtesy ramp and dock, OK with City to leave tow vehicle and trailer overnight in large lot, good depths in river and approach to ramp, river still wide enough to tack if wind is on nose. There are some ramps closer to Jax operated by Duval County and or DNR, but the closer you get to Doctor's Inlet and further down river the more the tide can affect your ability to launch/recover from a trailer.

If you desire to poke your head out of the St. Johns to the Ocean, Mayport has a good ramp just past the ferry on A1A. If you'd like to run up to Fort George for some gunkholin' the ramp at Sister's Creek just off Hecksher Drive is nice. There's also a small ramp near Arlington Expressway (near Mathews Bridge) on the Jacksonville University side. Good luck and good sailing.
