latest series Raymarine MFD's/ camera's??

Has anyone succeeded connecting a camera other than a Raymarine camera up to their MFD? I know it cant be done by wifi- but has anyone gone via the network input socket?This is my latest project- I am anxious to get a camera under my pulpit seat on the bow to alleviate the worrying blind spot with the genoa set on a busy waterway.
