Boat/US has demanded that the Hunter dealer that has my H310 to dismantle the boat and find "any and all" wiring problems and anything else they can find. This means pulling pulling out the cabinets, the flooring and what ever else that needs to be pulled out of the boat to find anything wrong with the boat. OH DEAR, NOT MY NEW BOAT!!! Boat/US has still not said that they will pay to repair the Odyssey. This is getting scarry, I hope they can put my boat back together good as new. Steve, s/v The Odyssey, H310

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Steve, In my line of work, approximately 80 percent of our clients are insurance companies. Most will not pay a claim until three factors are known; causation, repair versus replace, cost. I imagine that BoatUS is exercising their "reservation of rights" under the terms of the policy. Just out of curiosity, did BoatUS send an adjuster, surveyor, or engineer to look at your boat?

Mark k.

Mark, Boat/US did send in a surveyor to look at the boat last friday. I don't think that he spent a lot of time looking though, going by what he had said to me. I don't know, I wasn't their. Today, Palmer-Johnson Yacht Builders will be inspecting my rigging and spar. Also, a little more inspection of the boat's structure. Thanks for crossing your fingers for me. Steve...
