late night sailing with the sun setting around 10:15..the wind stops...and then the anchor goes out and thats our home for the night......what a weekend...!!!

You guys get all the cool clouds and sunsets.

it was approx 84 f during the day and 68 f during the niight..(stayed very warm till about 9 pm)...a very hot long weekend for us (discovery day longweekend)..my wife takes the pictures with a kodak 7.1...once she gets one of those slr digitals it will be another new world...thanx for looking and appreciating them..!!!

How long between fall freeze up and spring thaw? I have lived 45 north and summer nights were short but my memory of winter days was that we went to work in the dark and came home in the dark. I now live at 39 north and that is good, but very hot this year.

yep...some short days in winter...if you work in a shop you don;t see daylight for a while..but real long summer days..fall freeze around November 12 and spring thaw arond may 22...but water ain't high enough for the boat till around june 10...we sail till approx first week Oct

Now, Ross, as for hot, we'll teach you about hot down here!! In fact, my wife is back at her home in Scotland to escape the heat for a couple of weeks. If she didn't have to get my son back for school, I'm not sure she'd come back until about October!!! ;-)
