Does anyone know of a website someplace that has a good list of lat-lons? I am looking for a list of major cities in the US and Europe.

Google Earth...
Check out Google Earth http://earth.google.com/ it's an incredible and free tool which you can use to get gps coordinates and sat photos of basically any place on earth.

I would recommend Google Earth
I use it all the time whilst in the comfort of my lounge chair plotting my course before heading off and delivering a yacht. Of course I double check with the charts but to date it is dead accurate.

Caution!
When taking lats/longs off of anyone else's publication and plugging them into your GPS or chartplotter, it is worth the effort to reconfirm these waypoints by hand on your own charts. I once took a waypoint from a booklet of them published by a reputable company. The waypoint was way off as the printer had transposed two numbers.... It's a caveat emptor world out there folks.
