Large Vent

I understand that the key to success using KO holding tank treatment is to adequately vent the tank. Where can one buy a large vent. I have checked with West Marine, Boats US, Fisheries supply and Defender and no one has a large vent fitting. How does one go about increasing the tank vent hose size and where do you get the materials?

What you want isn't a "vent" fitting...

'Cuz all "vent" fittings are the same size so they can be used interchangeably on fuel, water and holding tank vents. What you want is a through-hull...the same kind that your bilge pump drains out of. But before you go rushing off to buy it, you might want to read the article in the Head Mistress forum Reference Library called somethin like "Holding Tank Odor Control"...'cuz there's a little more to increasing ventilation to the tank than just a larger vent thru-hull.
