What are the largest gas tanks that will fit in the 26X storage compartments and where can I get them.Thanks, Kim K.

Double 11s

I have an 11 gallon tank under each seat in the cockpit. That gives very good range even under WOT. What's the biggest? Depends if you are ever going to carry them and/or how strong ae you. An 11 gallon tank weighs just under 100 pounds full. I wouldn't want to carry much more than that across my bow with the boat in a wet slip.

Where did you get tanks?

I live in an area with few boat supplies. Can you tell me the place you purchased your tanks or the make and brand. Thanks for your reply, Kim K.

Unfortunately, they came with the boat from a dealer on the Chesapeake Bay so I can't give you much info on the tanks. Check his web site www.A1sailboats.com and there may be some info.

OMC 6 Gal * 4

Hi, This question came up on one of the Mac Lists. It turns out that 2 OMC 6 Gallon tanks will fit into one compartment. So, with 4 you would have 24 gallons of gas that is a whole lot easier to get on board than a single larger tank. Another alternative is to use 12 gallon tanks and cut an access hole in the top of the seat. You can get a white access cover that is not noticable when sitting on a cushion. But this would limit you to filling while on the trailer or at a marina. I believe those that went the 12 gallon permanent solution went with Tempo. They mentioned that the larger 4 in access ports were also desirable. Hope this helps, Bill
