Large concaved onside of boat

Ii have a 78 300 hunter that has deloaped a concave place on side undeer the chain plares on side how can this be repaired

Hello JD. Since a repair can only be done once you have found out what is the problem, you need to investigate much deeper. Can you be more specific and perhaps provide pics ? Are you talking about deck area under chain plate or side of the boat ? In any case, I would start inside the boat by reaching & looking at the chain plate area. You may need to do some dismantling of whatever hides where the chain plates are attached. Let us know your findings.

Pictures definitely needed. I am not familiar with the attachments of the chainplates on the 30. Could be related to another current Hunter thread regarding "dimples".
