Lancers
My Dad has a 29 Power Sailor. I was told that many of the people associated with Lancer were formerly associated with Columbia Yachts, but I have no independent verification. The Lancer line got its start with the trailerable 25 and 28. Nice boats, still sell for decent bucks. They had a step-into fixed keel for standing head-room as did the American of the era. The 29 was a more conventional boat. Don't recall the designer, but it may have been an S&S design originally. Had an aft cabin as I recall, one of the first. Decent boat overall. They also had a 36 that had a hull design from a Transpac winner and a rig, in one form, designed by Bill Lee. Also a nice boat with the main salon where the V-berth noemally is. Later, the line was known for its semi-planing hulls designed with big powerplants to move fast under power and still sail. Obviously, there were compromises in both directions. There is a market for that kind of boat though. The Mac X26 is a good example. I think Power Sailors came in 25, 27, 29, 40 and 45'. Believe the line went OOB on the mid 1980's as did many others. Good luck. Rick D.
