Our 28 has a V-birth, 2 quarter births, one on each side under the cockpit and, possibly, the settee converts into a bunk by removing the seat cushion, sliding out the underneath plywood support and filling the expanded horizontal surface with WHAT? The original cushion is now about a foot too narrow to fill the space created by sliding out the bunk support plywood. Were owners expected to come up with the needed cushion? At first I thought the back of the settee folded down to fill the space but it's way too wide as are the rest of the available cushions on board.. The owners manual is no help with interior layouts..With a proper cushion/mattress the settee would be a more comfortable bunk than the rather short V-birth..How have other owners dealt with this?

Hi Fairwind,

On these boats there are typically meant to be matching cushions that slide in to fill the extra width not covered by the seat cushions once the bunk support is slid out. If yours didn't come with such a cushion, they are probably either in some former owners' garage, or long since tossed away. You might want to check with the last owner to see if he or she has forgotten that they still have them; otherwise you'll need to measure the remaining space and either make some new ones, or have them made for you.

Good Luck!

Jeremy
