The wife and I went sailing in Indiana today. A little place called Lake Tippecanoe about nine miles South of US6 near Leesburg. It's a nice clean place and when we had wind it was fun. I wouldn't recommend visiting on Labor Day... it was a busy place. There was one other small Laser sized sailboat out. He came along side and wished us luck finding wind. He said it was good till about 11am and then just disappeared. He was correct. We would motor until finding wind... shut off the motor and ride it till it disappeared again. Too many PWC's and tubes behind powerboats. Lots of people liked the 170 though. While we were setting up, launching & taking down, people kept coming by to tell us how pretty it was. We even had someone on a PWC zip up along side and tell us it was pretty and that he liked the open transome. All in all, not a bad day. The wind wasn't the best, but the compliments from everyone made up for it.Jerry
