Looking for an agenda/sail plan if I took my girl (a newbee) to sailing on Lake Ontario for one week.Whe can we go sailing to?Thank you

Get a copy of Ports

I can suggest all sorts of trips you can do in a week from Port Credit, but it would be wiser for you to plan your own journey using information in this publication. You will need all the coordinates along with destination information for places you wish to visit. All this information is available in a copy of Ports that you can pick up at Mason's, Fogh, HMP, West Marine etc.Don't leave port without it!!! You get up to date chart information, GPS fixes, harbour photos, phone numbers for marina, yacht clubs, police, fire, C.G. etc etc.

LO Cruise

If you are a member of a YC get a copy of their reciprocal clubs and go to town. This one of the biggest advantages of membership. Every port on the lake has its highlights and welcomes.If not pay down your chargecard and go, as they say, just do it.

1000 Islands

If you can get there, get to the 1000 islands area. It is beautiful......about as scenic as it gets on the great lakes. Plus there is a lot to see and do, and the wind always blows (well almost)Take CareSteve

That would take more than a week.

Port Credit to the 1000 Islands? 3 days down and 3-4 days return from Port Credit - (and that's pushing it) doesn't leave much time to see the sites.I agree with Steve that it's one incredible place to cruise to, but from here you need minimum of two weeks.
