Lake Eufaula/Walter George Lake

Any sailors familiar with this reservoir? Sailboat rentals?

I bought a C-25 fin keel from a guy there a couple months ago and moved it to Lake Martin, Al. Didn't see a lot of sail boats there. Lake Point Resort State Park in Eufaula would be a good resource about any rental possibilities. The local marina was not sailboat friendly.

I,m on Lake Oologah a little north of Tulsa. I'm familiar with Lake Eufaula. It's not a sailboat hot spot. It's geared more toward bass boats & etc. On the other hand, Oologah has a lot of sailboat activity. Checkout http://www.spindriftsc.org/

I believe there are two Eufalas down south, one in OK and one in AL. Not sure everyone's on the same page here.

Paul: You are right! There are 2 Eufaulas, probably because the Muscogee-Creek Nation lived there before being marched west. Dennis

go to laniersail.com and follow the links to rentals at Lake Martin. Lanier Sailing Academy is a good outfit at Lake Lanier and they also have a Lake Martin office. Good luck.
