Am considering a change in ports to Lake Charlevoix. Haven't sailed up there in years, and it was on a smaller sailboat. My 27 Catalina draws 4 foot (fixed fin keel). Can anyone tell me if depth is much of an issue around that lake?

Just kidding! The channnel and depth in marinas should not pose a problem to you. Drawbridge opens on 1/2 hours. Round Lake, where the municipal marina is located, charts over 60 feet. Northwest Marine and Irish Boat Yard have plenty of draft.

Even Boyne City is deep.
I took my C-320 (6.5' draft) into Boyne City Municipal last year with no problem. I have visited Northwest Marina / Yacht Club in Charlevoix both last year and this with pleanty of water. There is another (private) marina at Boyne City that may also rent slips and probably can "float your boat". Steve Alchemist C-320 #909
