I know of one Vega on Lake Champlain in Charlotte owned for
many years by a gentleman whose last name, I believe, is
Quackenbush. I do not know if this Vega is for sale, however. I
have a Vega and love it. Another boat I considered was the
Mirage 27 built in Canada to specifications by an acclaimed
designer. There used to a few of these on Lake Champlain
when I sailed there years ago.
Ciao James,
After searching the East Coast for an appropriate Vega ( Hello to
all I met ) I was fortunate enough to find an affordable boat within
5 miles of my home port. I would like to report that the
Quakenbush Vega has passed into my hands. I thank him for
the manner in which he maintained his boat and commit myself
to continue its upkeep.
