Eighteen months on the hard. Finally Ladylove floats again! This time with everything brand new from the engine mounts to the prop. That new 3YM30 started immediately thanks to my backup fuel system. I keep two gallons of diesel in a Tempo outboard tank. Connected it to the Racor and, using the bulb pump on the hose, bled off air at the primary filter. The book calls for starting while holding the stop button to get everything lathered with oil. As soon as I let go of the stop button it started. Runs smoothly and is very quiet. Now to get her rigged and the sails bent on. Be sailing by Monday!!

Fair thee well Ed!

Congatulations on a good START! You will probably be having too much fun on LadyLove to take a trip to Beaver Lake, but come see us if you get a chance.

Good Omen!

Starting up like that is a good omen! I'm sure she's rarin' to go just as much as you are. It's sure time to get out there and keep the grass from growing on her bottom side. By the way, I wouldn't be surprised if you're at least partly responsible for Alan's "on-the-hard" post.
