Harold;I have installed a ladder on the 212 and there was an earlier post asking about it. I used the kind that is found on the Hunters currently in production that slides within itself. When placing it on the port rear, you need to find where the holes go in the deck while the ladder is folded down. You will have to figure on a small malreon or plastic block to install on the back of the boat for one side of the ladder to rest on as a result of the curvature of the transom. Also, you may have to add same to level the ladder on the cockpit floor depending where you put it. You will need to use a backing plate for the legs of the ladder inside the boat. Use 5200 caulking but suggest lightly scratching the surface around the holes that you drill. Use caulk liberally and use alcohol to clean up. Do not use acetone or it will melt your boat. When going into the back of the boat go in on port side and you will need a small person to do this as my buzzle butt will not make it. Make sure it is cool when you do the job or at least have a fan when back theree if it is hot at the time of install. One other item is a handrail to be installed on the boat. Your placement of this will depend where you want a hand hold and again, a backing plate. Good luck.Crazy Dave Condon
