The plastic tab that holds the battery pack to my Icom M3-A handheld radio snapped off. I called Icom to order a replacement and was told there would be no charge since others had been having the same problem. They also agreed to express mail it to me at no charge since I was getting ready to leave on a boating vacation. It's nice to deal with manufacturers that stand behind their product.

I agree!

We had a similar experience with Furuno when our GP30 died when only about 2 months old and Furuno replaced it the same day with a newer GP31. I will go out of my way to use more Furuno products. I have not had the same good luck with Raytheon. I am looking for a radar system and even though all my electronics are Raytheon, except the GPS, I am looking at the Furuno because of the way they stand behind their equipment. Sounds like I will add Icom to my list of good guys. Bob C-36
