Has anyone had luck with the Krusin Kool A/C? It's set in a "Suitcase" to work at anchor. I'm wondering more about reliability and if they put out 7000BTU's as advertised. Thanks, marc

We use it.

We have used to cool the H290. It does the job on 90 degrees days. It does have some high fan noise because the unit(fan) run all the time, but you can still talk over it. We have also used it at night to sleep. We use it on very hot days. You have to keep the cheescloth clean that covers the water pump (this helps the vaccum to the condenser). I had a plastic window made with a cut-out in fit on of the side ports for the power cable and the water lines. All and all not bad. It is a heavy unit to lift, but with suitcase type handle's not to bad. It is a well built unit and the service/support is good. p.s. I am a mechanical engineer.

Works in Nebraska

Another MacGregor 26X at our slips has one, and I think it works great. It circulates our lake water working as a heat pump -- as long as the water is cooler than the the temperature you want the air. They just hang a cloth curtain over the back hatch opening, and the cabin stayed around 70-75 degrees while outside it was in the 90's.
