Anyone have any experience with the King electric dial-a-watt marine heaters? We are struggling with what type of heat to install in our 44' sailboat. We're leaning towards installing a Dickinson Antarctic diesel heater in the salon and maybe putting in one of the King heaters in the Vberth and one in the aft berth. We live aboard currently but "some day" would like to go cruising so I wonder about the "draw" that the King heaters would then have. Any experience/advise on either one? or what type of heat would you all recommend?

Electrical Is Designed for Shore Power

It looks like a good design for dockside use, but not for offshore use. Even with a genset, it would not be an efficient way to heat. I don't have expereince with it personally; just looked at the spec's. Rick D.
