The plastic pin method to keep the rudder

where it belongs is a good solution. I have installed a 1/4" thick soft rubber washer about 6" in diameter between my kick up rudder & the aluminum head side plate. This provides enough friction to keep the rudder from creeping up. A 1/8" thick rubber washer on each side of the rudder would provide twice as much friction. Regards, Bob B.
