Key blank

I need a key blank for my engine start. I have not been able to find anyone who has a blank. I have a 84' Hunter 31, the old key has "Yanmar" on it if that helps.Randy G.

I think they are all the same.

Randy:Call Barbara at Golden State Diesel. Ask her for a key. Her standard answer is "I have it right here in my hand".I think there is only one key for all the engines of that era.

I have an 85 31, Steve is right, so go start your neighbors boat. Any Yanmar dealer can supply you with a key.

A Screwdriver Will Work

The key isn't cut with any special cut. But a screwdriver will work, also.

I have used a Master Lock key.

I now keep one as a spare key since I only got one key from the prior owner.

Try the keys on your key chain. Likely some will work for you.

two key types

I think Yanmar has two different key types...I know my local marina's store sells spare Yanmar keys and they carry two types in stock.
