I had halyard "slap" on the port side of my Kenyon painted aluminum mast (1980 ODay 23) and the cream colored paint is slightly worn. Is there a simple spray paint that can be used to "touch it up". I have an old Kenyon brochure that says "..anything from a marine or auto supply store will be fine..", but the mast painting threads I see here are for more complicated! Please let me know, thank you.

I remember seeing mast paint in the boat shows but I never paid much attention to it. Maybe they have some kind of a kit available on the market containing mix and match pigments for the mast. I don't know why you couldn't use automotive spray paint. There used to be an automotive paint specialist store on Route 44 in Seekonk Ma. or East Providence RI. They specialized in mixing and matching paints. All you would need is one of those Pre-Val air canisters with the small bottle attachment if you can get the right color match. Check Rig-Rite in Warwick RI. They may have this type of paint. Good luck with that.
