I purchased an ST1000 Plus (don't know what the difference is between the 1000 and 1000+) and have spent considerable thought (headaches) trying to find the best mounting solution. Yesterday, I finally came up with the right solution...then, I read your post about not having enough throw. Now I'm having second thoughts. My solution involves a permanent hole in the starboard seat which means I can't easily move it if this is not the right location. Give me some more details on why you needed more throw...please!
