Last week I had to remove the keel on my 1975 27'
due to a bad hull repair at the aft end of the keel. I found broken "glass" at the forward and aft ends of the keel pocket in the hull. I ground them out and repaired them with epoxy and cloth. The keel was beaded with silicone caulk I reassembled every thing with 3m 5200. Now I have no water comming in I am wondering if I could glass the keel to the hull when I am next out of the water. Good or bad idea ? If I ever have to pull the keel again peices of hull are going to come with it anyway(just kidding,but 5200 is tough stuff) floating again in MD John
