Keeping front hatch at 45 degrees?

I am looking for an easy way to keep the front hatch partially opened (approx. 45 degrees or less). I was going to cut a piece of wood to keep it propped open, but wanted to see if anyone had any other solutions?

You may have already tried this, but the hinges are adjustable. Mine is tightened enough that it remains open on its own. Of course it stays closed while traveling unless someone is below,but when we want it open it stays up.

Try tightening the hinges and you may have it solved.

As Silvio said, the hatch should stay at whatever angle you set it to. Check for an allen screw in the hinge pin. By adjusting the hinge, you can create more friction as needed to get that nice 45 degree angle to catch the breeze.
