A good dodger is a blessing and well worth having. Most of the new ones I see around are built with double tubing in the rear arch and grab handles on the outside so you can hold on as you go forward. They are stiff and strong.
When we had ours replaced the builder came to the boat, measured up and custom designed it for us. It cost 3.5 boat bucks in 2011 but we are very pleased. We chose Lexan windows and they are still very clear.
