Has any one dropped the keel to reseal the joint? Mine (a 76) has a small leak and I'm thinking of doing this job in a month or so during a haul out. I have the shoal draft and the keel has a hollow center for a center board that has been filled with some kind of filler. Also, for John and others who are wondering how my repower is going, I installed the new engine this weekend. I have it aligned and coupled up and the electrical completed. I have the fuel, exhaust, cooling and shift cables to complete the job. Thanks, Royce

Watched it being done.

Have not done it to my own H37C but have witnessed the project. Just wrote about it yesterday over on "Big Boats", Related Link. Not too expensive in my marina but might be in some others.

Shoa Keel

I also have a H30 with a shoal keel and am thinking about removing the center board. Did you ever have a center board? If so is it missed? A friend of mine just had the keel on his Oday 28 dropped and resealed (very similar to the H30. He also needed some other repair to the keel. It cost him about $1000. This included stepping the mast( about $180 up here) since it was stepped on the keel and had to be removed to do the work. Hope this helped. Joe M.

No Center board

Hunter dropped the center board on the shoal keel and just filled the void in the keel with an epoxy mixture. I think I would like to have the center board as it should make the boat point higher.
