Keel ????

Just bought a 76 Catalina 22 for 900 it is in good shape except the keel. Did the keels havea bondo type filler used to give it shape? The starbboard side of mine has large cracks that looks like some kind of putty.

hello desertboatman, my 1976 22 had a covering of some type of bondo like stuff to smoth it out and fill surface voids. grind it out and fill it in and paint it.john( grinde it because it takes forever to sand out)
