Is yours Broken or just preventive?

My boat is ten years old. I would also be interested in this process in the event the darn thing breaks. Mine works very easily now but who knows what will happen in the future. From past forums I'm pretty sure it requires a haul out. Jonathan Costello Heeling Powers

Keel Line

You need to remove the keel. It is best to do this with the boat up on stands. Two people can do it. There is bolt in the cabin at the mast base that you need to remove, also the plastic hose next to the mast base has the line in it. When dropping it out tie a small line to the current line and when you drop it you have a feeder line. When you put the keel back in remove the line cover in the cabin and pull the line up from inside while you raise the keel into position. It is pretty easy but I would not try it on the trailer.
