Keel Pin Inspection
While the boat sits on the trailer, you can try to move the front part of the keel side-to-side and up and down. You could use a pry bar or similar for leverage. Any movement would indicate some pin wear. The more movement, the more the pin wear. As far as the cable, you could unravel the cable from the winch, pulling the cable out underneath the hull. You should be able to get about 6-8 ft of cable. As you go, you can check for bad areas.Regards,Ted
