More information...

Despite not having a centreboard-equipped E-25, I would suggest you consider uploading one (or more) photos of what you're looking at. The owner download I got from EricsonYachts.org's documentation archive implies that there are screws at both ends of the pin. I originally expected them to "widen" the pin so that it is wedged in the channel but suspect that they may screw into the centreboard; the diagram is not as clear as I'd have liked. -soup

Keel pin removal

There are two set screws,1/2" in from each end. They go streight up into the bottom of the boat, you may have to drill them out! Good luck.

Pin removal

I removed my board last year and in the process, I saw the pin ends were champhered to conform to the hull sides. In this slightly flattened section there was a hole drilled and countersunk for a flat head screw (mine were #8-1") which seemed to be a minimal for retention. I have had concerns since then about the pin size (1/2"), the screw size, what and how much material is in the hull by the pin, and the amount of metal on the forward edge of the board by the pin. If I do this piece of work again, I will probably redo the board with a SS center plate and pin shaft.
