Thanks to other postings, I have learned about 3M 5200 to seal up areas on the keel/glass interface. Does anyone have any advice on a brand of metal primer to use on the keel prior to applying the 5200? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Eric
3M 5200 is a bonding agent not a sealant. 5200 would be a great product to bond the keel to the hull. After it sets up you could remove the keel bolts with no worry. If you're looking to fair the seam between the keel and stub you would be better off with a fairing compound. As I recall the H40 has a cast iron keel. Petit makes a Metal Primer # 6455 which is excellent for what you need.
