I found a crack on the back side of my keel, it appears there is some delamination on the starboard side. there is no water inside the crack, can I pour some fiberglass resin in the pocket and glass over the edge with cloth as a fix? or do I have to grind out the delamination? thanks

Dan it is probable that some time in the past
someone grounded the boat hard and the keel was tilted to the rear by force. I would gently grind the inside area so that I could see the extent of the damage and then lay in alternate layers of chopped strand mat and woven roving in polyester resin until I was satisfied that the boat was stronger than before the incident.
