Tom, YES! I just installed my keel assembly
2 days ago. If you still have to mount yours then look at the small boat section for the last week as I wrote up some helpful items while doing this. It appears that the factory used 101 bedding compound (available at West Marine or any other boating store) all around the bolt when installing it. When I had the SS metal bracket in position I coated just under the head of the bolt with 101 and all around the bolt hole lip with a small bead. After tightening the bolt I molded the spread out 101 back around the bolt head. Although the bolt is higher than the waterline the force and pressure of the water flowing under the boat will push it up into the keel cavity. Ray S/V Speedy
