Good afternoon to all ..... I have had my 1999 Oceanis 461 for about 2 years now and wanted to check the condition of the Keel Bolts. Unfortunately, with Beneteau having shuttered the Carolina factory I am having a really difficult time trying to find the correct torque values for these bolts so when we re-install them, we get them snugged up properly. I sent an email to Beneteau USA and got absolutely no response. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Michale,
I found virtually impossible to apply the required torque (120- 260 Nm or about 100-190 ftLb) given the limited space available to fit a long enough braker bar. I solved this by using a torque multiplier. In case you run into a similar problem here is a link

You need to divide the torque value by the multiplier ratio if using a torque wrench.
