I have been searching for the source of water infiltration for 2 months...solved some by retorqueing the Keel bolt nuts...based on this, decided to haul the boat and let gravity assist in getting those bolts/nuts properly resealed and tightened...BUT, we are finding a few of the keel bolts are turning in the keel when the nut is torqued...stripped? Guess so. How to fix?

Hunter's spin

By the way, this is a 94 30T in otherwise bristol condition...I did get to a Hunter Tech...confirmed the keel cast iron, drilled and tapped for stainless bolts set in epoxy...best scenario: bolts were loosened when removing the nuts for resealing. Epoxy has been know to fail, especially if the boat has been overtheroad recently which this has. Solution, find out by loosening a nut, and use the double nut trick to screw the bolt in...if the bolt will unscrew all the way, epoxy and reinsert. If the bolts are stripped (I have only two possibles), then 1. pump as much 5200 around, over and under them as you can and live with some water,or 2 drop the keel and retap, or 3 use a dumpster and start the boat search anew.... will report results later this week
