Does anyone have information on the sit-on-top tandem kayaks made of polyethylene? I'm considering the Puffin, Malibu II or Tango. Thanks.

I have one and use it a bit, but not on the boat yet. You can carry lots of gear if you get a two-man boat, both inside the hull (watertight, but the gear is loose and will shift position) and on top of the kayak. More weight, the slower it paddles. Very stable, very fun for riding waves at the ocean. They are inexpensive - buy some nice paddles to improve the experience.

We've got a Malibu 2

We go paddling most weekends for an afternoon relax and to watch the stink boats run into each other. They take alot of abuse and are very stable. We also use it for a platform to do boat maintenance (clean the waterline, wax the sides). I've used it in SoCal (even in some big waves), but now we are paddling in the swamps of North Lake Pontchartrain. One warning; your going to get wet. Mike sends S/V Camelot out
