I certainly don't mean to minimize the impact of Katrina on those of you on the coast, but I am amazed at the damage done 400 miles away on my home lake, on the TN River. We had winds up to 75 mph blow through last night. The marina where my boat is suffered little to no damage - two boats broke loose but are fine. A friend stopped by and threw on a couple of extra dock lines for my Hunter 30, and it seems to have weathered well. We are in a small cove with fairly tall hills on three sides. A marina near us had extensive damage; one whole dock collapsed, sinking 30+ boats with it. And I know our losses here are miniscule in comparison. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all on the coast.
