Would any sailor in the Tampa Bay area know of a public launch ramp in the East Tampa area? My brother is getting into the sail boat family and would like to launch his 24'in that area. Thank you...

Nothing in east tampa but...

if you want to get into the bay there is a ramp on the east side of the rt 60 causeway bridge for norht tampa bay, go past the beach on the left, the ramp is on the right at the light before the bridge. Check the height of your mast but you should be able to fit under the bridges. There is also one on Gandy Blvd in tampa just east of the dridge before crossing into St Pete. It is on the right as you are heading west on Gandy. Launching from here buts you south of all the bridges and opens you to tampa bay. Both are deep enough to launch a 24.
