No problems to discuss (thank goodness). Everything worked great and we had a nice day on the water with 5 to 10 mph winds. Not much excitement, but we did have some weather helm every now and then! Looking forward to another good sail tomorrow (winds 10 - 15 mph). Sure am glad to see spring has finally arrived. Ernie s/v Seas the Moment

Ernie, "Gloating" is a nasty form of pleasure

sometimes enjoyed by southern sailers, that by some freak of chance, happen to live in warmer climes. The "Ice Men" of the North shall soon thaw and overwhelm the weaker species that seek refuge in the "liquid waters". Until then you may enjoy. If you could just describe some of the basic points of sailing I might be able to remember how it is done. Ray S/V Speedy

Gloating Eddy/cold Ray

Eddy/Ray, The winds over Lake Pontchartrain Sunday were gusting to 20 or a little better. My crew (who married me 40 years ago) was more than a little hesitatnt to go out until I promised to put a reef in our h26's sail. I did, she went and it was a most pleasant sail -- 75 degrees (So sorry, Ray). Ray, read your posts often and like a lot of your ideas and changes on your boat. I'd like to know more if you're willing to share: marleneotto@aol.com. And I'd really like to know how to pronounce the name of your home port. Marv Otto S/V Kobold Goldemar h26
