I just want to give my fellow 31H owners a heads up on a future problem. Of course this only happens at the wrong time so you might consider doing it now before it is a problem. Saturday night I was staying on board when about 130am the air conditioner quit and as I found out after getting very humid, all 120v failed to work. Imediately I thought d*#2 some unplug my shore power. But alas it was where it should be. Then I walked down the dock to check the Circuit breaker again it was fine. I pulled out the multimetter. power at the end of the shore pwer cable is fine. Hmmm must be the power inlet. not wrong again. check the circuit breaker onboard no power there. Well it turns out that the 10/3 wire between the outlet and the main breaker lost a leg. after replacing the wire(which is very easy) I inspected the old wire. Almost in the middle the wire was black on the neutral wire, further investgation I found it had actually broken in two. For about $20 go and replace your wire. My 31H is a 1984 if yours is close to that Fix it now!
