and others. We will drill more test holes before we are finished. We also intend to replace the compression post and the bulkhead. The compression post will sit on a fore-and-aft block spanning one or two "ribs." We will replace the bulkhead and compression post, then do some test drillings from inside the cabin before repairing the cabin top. An aluminum plate will proably also be included in the cabin top repair.In all honesty, I wasn't convinced we could do this repair without removing the mast. My buddy was convinced we could. The mast is secure in it's temporary position. The hole in the cabin top is covered with plastic and "Carolina Chrome" as per the attached photo. We have had considerable wind and rain since we moved it forward. Jacking the mast up required some time as the shrouds had to be loosened after every turn or two of the jack screw. Lamar
