I could have used some wind yesterday and the day before down around Bristol RI. The wind was so light and out of the North that I had to turn my outboard on. The heat was unbearable. I think that I got a small heap of heat exhaustion yesterday. What's really amazing is, I must have lost a few pounds out there. I'm down to 197.5 lbs now and I was over 200 last week.Joe,

I went down the club yesterday and took my Gennie off the furler and stowed my boom with the main sail on it, inside the cabin. Then I went to the club today with my trailer and pulled her out and brought her home. I'm not taking any chances. Wayne pulled his boat out and left it sitting on the trailer in the club yard. I finally got to try out my new mast yoke for attaching my baby stays and it worked like a champ. Here's some pics. I have a couple of small projects that I need to do on my boat while it's at the house before I bring it back to the club in a couple of days. The best of luck to anyone who has his boat in the path of this hurricane.Joe,

No that was one of my neighbors over across the street, back in March when our lake rose to high levels. That story made national news. I was lucky. I only had 6 inches of water down my cellar. My neighbors across the street had 4 feet of water in their cellars.Joe,
Was it only last year or the year before that you needed a boat to get out of the house in?
So just take off any tie downs and be ready to float away.
