I just purchased a 1977 33 and could use a little help with a rigging question. There appears to be a heavy chain plate coming through the deck directly in line with the mast with 2 holes. These would seem to be for the only two shrouds the boat has (unlike the 79-83 33s which have 2 lowers. The problem is, there is a second deck fitting about 14" aft that looks like a chain plate but is merely attached to the cabin roof. (not tied to a bulkhead) I don't see a shroud to attach to it either? Any ideas? Thanks, Don Bodemann
