The old-timers here will remember the name well. Jim was a HUGE part of this site's early years and a valued advisor to many, many owners. He was also a big part of the Hunter marketing and customer relations team in the 90's and early part of this decade.

Personally, I'm especially tickled to see him back at Alachua... somehow it just feels like the earth shifted back onto its axis. :)

Here's the official press release:

Hunter Marine is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Jim Bohart to the position of Regional Market Development Manager. Jim is an industry veteran with both manufacturing and retail experience having worked for Hunter Marine for 17 years prior to leaving for California and becoming the sales manager for one of North America’s largest Beneteau dealership in Los Angeles for the past nine years. A University of Florida graduate, Jim will be located out of the Alachua office of Hunter report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. John Peterson, and initially will be responsible for the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Great Lake regions.

Now there's some good news! When I started on here back in 1998 Jim was "the man". He knew our Cherubinis as well as anyone. Now, after all my years on Lake Erie, Jim is going up there while Ladylove sits just south of Alachua. Actually I did get a price from the Alachua boat hauler to take her back. Now with Jim covering the Great Lakes maybe its time.

As a Hunter dealer...

I worked with Jim on several occasions to resolve some sticky customer warranty issues--couldn't have had a more friendly and helpful assistance.

I rate him right up there with "Crazy Dave" !

Welcome back, Jim!
