jiffy reefing

I rigged my c22 today but still have a question whether I should always have the jiffy reef lines rigged or only when it looks like conditions might warrant it?? I can't tell from earlier posts if the reef lines are always rigged..I wanted to move my boat today from its temporary slip to my rented slip, but the winds here in Buffalo built to 25 kts!

Don't want to be messing with lines.....

It's no time to be messing with trying to rig your reefing system when you're starting to think about using it.The old adage goes something like this: "It's time to reef when your first start thinking about it."When it's starting to get snotty, and you're feeling overpowered, and everything is starting to flap loudly and wildly ....that's no time to be trying to thread the needle with your jiffy reefing lines.Rig 'em ahead of time so that they are ready when you need them.Good Luck!Tim BroganApril IV C350 #68Seattle
