The sheeves on my two jib sheet blocks have disintegrated. These are the kind that stand up, mounted on the deck. They are made so that you have to replace the whole unit. Can't find any stand-up blocks that have the same hole configuration in the base. My bases are square. But round is in these days, and the distance between holes seems to have changed. Anybody changed these out recently and found a brand or model I haven't? I really dont' want to drill new holes in my already perferated vessel. My boat is a 1978 Oday 25. Thanks!

Randy,

I believe the originals were Schaeffer. I would goggle Shaeffer and give them a call to see if they changed to round deck plates but maintaind the same hole spacing. Most of these companies have info ines but make sure you have the old sizes ready when you call. You may end up changing the block size, also. good luck r.w.landau
