JIB traveler location on a Oceanis 343

Hi, just received a 105% jib for my 343.
I think it needs to be sheeted further forward than the installed genoa track allows. Anyone extended or replaced their genoa track on their Oceanis 343?

Call the sailmaker and tell him the sail doesn't fit. A boat's jib car location options are part of a sail's measurement package. Even if you mail ordered the sail, you should have been asked for the jib block location.

There are many ways to configure a sail without changing it's size. That's why, in general, as the sail size goes down the height of the clew above the deck increases... so the jib lead stays in relatively the same position.

One thing you can do is experiment with your sail's hoist.. using a pendant to secure the tack. Since the optimal jib block location is determined by a line extending from the luff's mid point through the clew to the deck... you can move that point on the deck aft by raising the sail higher.
