I have trouble raising my jib for the first each year. I use a lot of dry lubricant - and that helps, but the track in the furler extrusions are very tight. Does anyone have a source for a sail track lubrication device? There used to be one available but I can't seem to find one any more. It was a short piece of sail bolt rope and sail, with gromets for a halyard and downhaul. You saturated the cloth with lubricant and slid the thing up and down to lubricate the entire length of the track.

I Googled it and came up with basically nothing. It was a product under the brand Fastrac but neither West nor defender (or any other source) seems to have it. You might be able to make one if you have a few inches of 'extra' bolt at the bottom of your jib.

Good Luck!
